So, in an odd twist of events that I still don't understand (at all, really), I find myself and my plans turned on our head. Still powering through and trying to make sense of things, and collect myself before I head for Seoul in August. I'll definitely be stopping through the orphanage for a brief visit on my way to the far East, so very much looking forward to that. Something about Vancouver helps me feel young, helps me feel my age, helps me act my age, irk a little responsibility and have a little more fun. I wish I could stay, but I'm going to get a grip of cash working in Seoul, then who knows. I may very seriously be propositioning some of you Canadian ladies to be my visa wife for a few years. Send your applications with current photo now, please. We can begin faux courtship immediately. I'm not kidding about this, I need to get a visa somehow. Or maybe Luke or Brad, or maybe Paul will man up and begin a true bromance with me, I'm open to whatever. The ends are justifying just about any means here for me.

Sold my Giant TCR road bike for a large amount of money, just about broke even which is fantastic - bought and ridden for a year, liquidated into funds. I'm thinking it will either fund a deposit with a custom frame builder (Vanilla Speedvagen CX Bike? (although I hear Sascha White stopped taking deposits for the moment, maybe Courage Cycles or Yamaguchi?)) or my inevitable trip to Japan whilst I'm in Korea (any of you fuckers want to meet me there I'm game - be prepared to hemorrhage money the second you enter Japanese airspace though). Either way, kinda nice to be rid of it, but I'll miss it for sure, especially as I've been riding it pretty regularly the past few months.

I really fucking miss Vancouver and Van peeps, y'all know who y'are... I'm wishing that I could be there for the summer and wondering why I'm not...

something about the kind of person that I look like and maybe some of the kind of person that I am-
if I wake up at about ten I'm going to drink coffee and smoke a cigarette. we'll all be up by noon or one and so the work gets done in the afternoon and the night is for shows and girls and the morning is for sleeping. if I'm on my porch and I'm drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette I'm wearing jeans and a t-shirt and if it's raining I wear a raincoat and it rains a lot.
the porch has got a table and an ashtray and a few chairs and bikes locked up and an old barbecue that I think brian uses. the butts are mostly my spirits but also someone's camels and it fills up fast.
