this large mass of foreign treasures poured out of a cloth sack sent all the way from india. amongst the things oopey sent me was some indian bike cranks, including one made by hero. hero cycles claims to be the worlds #1 bicycle manufacturer, but what's really unique is that the company makes every single piece of their bikes. not that amazing, but i was stoked to see it. big bundle of love, and i was happy to get it.

i'm currently building small amounts of love. still sitting on a grip of nosebleeds if you still need one. circulating portland at the boygorilla coffee cart and reading frenzy, and the shipment to new york is on the way. i've also got a couple of shirts left of the nudey girl print i did for the tower's beach party. that huge wheatpaste i did? that nudey girl. hit me up if you wants one, peeks on facebook. lastly, it looks like i'm going into the commercial screen printing biz. brad and i are planning a joint venture, hopefully you'll hear more soon.

i'm not even talking about my car until natalie sends me her photos.

damn, i thought lance had that yellow jersey today. strange guy, but i've got nothing but love for anyone who rides that hard for so long.

summer 09 in portland (sprinkled with trips into surrounding cascadia) has been good to me, and it's only gaining in momentum. 'merica day was one for the books- ninety degree weather that dropped through the eighties to a nice 72ish for the all-night party hours. ah, damnit, y'all talk celsius in canada. i don't speak a lick, so i'll just say it was idyllic. add to that a bbq with best friends and five+ bands worth of outdoor summer dance jams on hawthorne. i didn't need any fireworks.

also, i've been circulating copies of a new ghosties e.p. called "cuffs off". it'll be up on high scores and records .com on july 28th. if you want an advance taste, holla at me. i wrote and recorded all the vocals on the first of july.

oh, and i'm adding "get you camera working so you can include photos in yr blog posts" to my to-do list.

So I'm in dharmasala, or whatever town is right up the hill from it. I've sort of stopped taking in information in leu of just thinking, "wandering cow dark children, curry, yup still in india"

Today I was hungover and it was a total zero day. In a moment of supreme historical irony, but situational necessity, I got ripping drunk with a britt. It was a 4th of july to not quite remember. I played my new mandolin on the balcony until i don't remember stuff and woke up the next morning.

Incidentally this town is the home of the Dalai Lama and his cronies in exile, and tomorrow is his birthday, so this place might get wacky. I'm not sure how buddhist monks party, but I bet it's pretty transcendental. I wish it was like tibetan St. Patricks day, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

The russia plan crashed and burned, due to the finacial and governmental ball twistery involved, but I'm headed to korea in two weeks, for about two weeks. Then back to the homestead. So if you're in VT around late august early September stop on through. umm i was going to write more, but i'm being chatted up by people, so I gots to get it going.
