So I leave for india tomorrow. I'm totally stressing myself out because of my camera gear, but it's one of those risks that I'm taking in the interest of my future and livelyhood. At least it's insured, but getting jacked is still a pressing concern in the poorest city on earth. I'll probably just hide out till Max shows up. ha. I'm staying with a guy off couchsurfing.com who says he's a journalist for the Indian Telegraph, so that might be a good opportunity ot get some connects to the local media. who knows. Egads i'm tense, though that might be the coffee I've been pounding all day coupled with the last minute fervor of this mise en place lifestyle change. i guess all I can do is chill the fuck, and hope the world is a nicer place than the western media seems to want it to be. Hopefully in a year, I'm strapped into a bullet proof vest, screaming through the desert on a humvee with a bunch of grunts. Hardcore biznatches. In the meanwhile he's a comforting picture from a much simpler lifestyle.

OH ME OH MY. This latest return to the mother land has made my mind up for me: I will be moving back to Vancouver, probably at the end of this summer. Good times had all around, doing generally nothing besides having a blast. Cheers to Luke & B-rad for the hospitality.

Good to be back in NYC now though, weather skipped a season and now it's 90 degrees out, go figure. Back to the daily grind for a bit, I'm thinking I'll put away a bit o cheese in case I need to float along for a few months in Van. Some real vacation shit.

there's been a lot of activity around here on akmd.
we've got two new agents in portland keeping things real as ever. you've seen some posts from my blood brother conlan but keep an eye out for some input from my actual brother, devin. if it wasn't for these two goblins and the late nights we spent talking and dreaming on the couch in kid's room, i probably wouldn't have been inspired to create this site. now y'all will get the chance to see the wells i draw my power from.

speaking of people who keep me on my grind, chris came out last week and held it down in vancouver. dude is cruising in overdrive and still his hunger is insatiable. you're looking good homie, hold your head high. glad i could show you some hills. BIKES!!!!

if you haven't noticed, oopey is taking things to another world. he's always been adding dimension to the situation and now he's taking a physical journey all the way to india. i don't know much about the plans, but i know the cameras he's taking and i'm salivating. you and i are so excited for reports on this adventure.

paul and i have been taking shirts, keep them glazies peeled. patrick's still lurking and i'm sure he's got a little shot in the arm now that he owns more than an air mattress and 1 cardboard box. that and the lovely lady en route. holla.

So there's a show at a gallery here in Burlington that is totally awesome. Just hands down really fuckin cool. Art geek or no, you can't help but be all like "Damn that's super awesome" An artist named Jason Hackenwerth who makes these totally bonkers balloon sculptures/creatures/organic sex parts. They're site specific and last about as long as the exhibit runs, though they begin to wilt after a few weeks. the Exhibit is called Micro-Macro, and the whole gallery smells like rubber. here's a looksee from my new camera.
