Yaaaaay NEW BIKE DAY!!! Pics will be up later in the week I just needed to share this with the world. My Giant TCR Advanced 2 came at the shop today and I put it together with the help of the mecanicos at Gotham. Easton parts come tomorrow and I'll finish the build. Half of you won't care about the rest of this post, and some of you won't have cared about any of it. STILL...

I'm super excited about my first proper road bike. Here's the spec:

Giant TCR Advanced Composite Frame - integrated headset (I think it's 1 1/8 at the top and 1 1/2 at the bottom!) and aero post

Full Ultegra (including brakes and cranks, none of that mishmash ultegra/105 mix, except DA bb)

Deda Newton Road stem to Easton EC90 SLX3 Road bars

Fizik Arione saddle with K:ium rails

Look Keo Carbon CrMo pedals

Mavic Aksium clinchers (liquigas green mich pro3 race) or Easton EC90 Aero Carbon tubies (conti sprinter)

Zipp carbon bottle cages of course (FINALLY BOTTLE CAGES, how I miss being able to carry accesable water with me)

Stock without pedals is 17.2 lbs IIRC, should be dropping weight tomorrow with the Easton components

Now I'll have to get into waking up at 5am to race...

Scoped this over at zlog, thought I'd post for oopey. Not only are heterosexual consequences clear here with their riding style, but then they get totally worked. Track bikes, crashing, and man on man ass to face contact. WOOHOO!

been seeing a lot of things recently. i just went though the buddings of spring in portland, and due to latitude stuffz, that energizing blossoming is happening now in vancouver. it's like double power-ups for me, like two stars in a row. i'm still on shakey grounds, but i'm only excited for what's coming. and speaking of what's coming…

been working on creating 'realistic type' or something. basically making words look so natural that it escapes the connotations of text. more like the natural physical form of an idea, the placeholder for something ephemeral. like i said, or something. anyway, what's this sample make you think?
