VANCOUVER: THURSDAY!

yes, i will be coming to vancouver with the legendary oopey on thursday. get hyped, get stupid, get ready to visit me in the ER! i'm gonna race in that crazy halloween cat and i'm going all in for that chub hub. if you don't know, i have track records for getting destroyed on halloween in van. get yr game faces on. i've got some bleeds for the city.

Now that the KHS is up for sale sans drivetrain (any interest Paul? You're the only one it would fit, measures 59 even though it's sold as a 57) I'm back to mashing the Pista exclusively. Bikey's undergone winter-ization and I'm savin up my nice shiny parts for the 09 Pista Concept (whenever that comes...). Stuff's been coming in to the shop and I've been getting stoked. Here's a peek at the group that will go on the concept.



Mhmmm Phil Wood hubs (powdercoated white!) that are gonna be laced to the new H+Son Formation Face Super Deep-Vs (www.hplusson.com). Just waiting on Sapim CX-Ray Blades and 16mm Black Brass Nips from BTI to come in the next week and then the wheels will be built by Sammy at Gotham.

NJS Everything else, except the EAI cog and Phil BB (Pantographed of course, because everyone will see that). Gonna stick with the 49x17 ratio, it's a bit more work but I think it'll be fine on the alu frame. Hoping to get her around 16-17 pounds with work... we'll see. Either way it'll be lighter than current bikey which is right around 19, maybe 19.5 now with the Sugino Messengers.

Fenders now frequently uglify my ride, but it beats the skunk tail syndrome. Dunno what I'm gonna do with this whip when the new one comes, maybe I'll keep it, by then I'll have beat it to hell through winter and it won't be worth much.

new nosebleeds is out!!! and by out, i mean in. if you want want talk to me for now. i hope to get these out soon though.

went for a nice ride up the leif erikson trail the other day. learned a few things too. full aluminum track frames are not the best for rough, offroad, 1000' climbs, but they do work. note the seven patches in that tube. four were from this trip but most came from bad tire levers. the view is great from up there too.
