So I was chillin with my childhood buddy last night, who now lives in portland. He just got a 5Br and was looking for one more roomie, but was holding off till he found someone he knew would be chiller. Enter the oopster. So I got a room/house/fuck pad McQuack in portland all lined up for me. 6th and Alberta I do believe is the hood, so I dunno if that's good bad or in between, but it'll do. I'm hoping it's a little in the ghetto so there's an awesomely seedy bodega I can be a regular at. Camera's going this week, so flights oughta be made by sunday, and I think I can be in Portland for octobs 1.

So this week I'll finally be selling my camera, and will subsequently have a few grand to work with. The second that shit is in my hand I'm booking flights like it's my damn job. NYC is the first stop, which I'll hit up for as many days as my wallet can handle, which is probably like 3, then I may skip down to VA to see what up in the land of Tabaccy and Tacky and visit the Ma to the Rika. Then out to Portland, where I ought to have just enough money to sleep on someone's couch for a while until i figure myself out. I'd also say a power move up to Van would be in order. I'm terrible with money though, so we'll see what I can afford. Somebody find me a job I can do until I sign up for the Marines.

new job at LBS is fuckin great.
day 1: crew shows up consisting of:
a) manager man. just turned middle-aged man stayin young through dh riding on a stumpjumper spec'd to jump off mountains
b) shop cronie 1. is he european? he just might be... goatee, rocking tights and cleated into his carbonlicious colnago that looks like it cost more than my truck did (oh truck how I miss yee...) might be 24 or 17.
c) shop cronie 2. is he 35 or 18? Rotund-er former D&D grandmaster rolls in on his singletrack.
d) shop cronie 3. Possible American Apparel advert candidate rolls in on a baby blue schwinn tandem. No one is on the back.
e) me. really sweaty. riding in city traffic like this is insanely stressful. and it's really fuckin hot these days.

but funn funnnnn. much more fun than waiting tables anyway, jesus. and at lunch I just hang out with the mexican mechanics and learn how to maintain a bike. anyway, havin fun with it. AND got a phone, holler at me. took the front brake off cause it was fugly nasty but now thinking twice about it. maybe a paul e-lever. we'll see...

we need to collabo up on some shit... like something graphical where we pass something around and add to what the rest of us have contributed and see what we come up with, if anything is worth pursuing or something. I dunno. I feel like this is a tight resource, we oughta milk the potential.
